About

At the Logan County Public Library, we believe in the power of connection. Guided by our vision, we work every day to link Logan County residents with the resources, knowledge, and opportunities that help us all grow together.

Vision

Bringing people together to broaden our sense of family and community.

We want to see every Logan Countian coming together in a spirit of curiosity to better understand and connect with one other. We are passionate about our role as connector, and will strive diligently to foster this vision.

Mission

LCPL connects our community with local and global resources to meet their personal, professional, and educational needs so that we can all grow together.

Whether it is learning about local history, or preparing for their future, LCPL wants to enrich the lives of those we serve. This is the practical course to achieve our vision of bringing our entire community together.

Values

  • Adaptability is a hallmark of librarianship. Being able to adjust to new conditions isn’t about surviving, but thriving, because we welcome new opportunities at LCPL.
  • Community is the thing that binds us together. When we make the needs of our community a priority, we make the best possible decisions for LCPL.
  • Integrity means doing the right thing, even if no one is watching. When LCPL employees make the right move, we make ourselves and each other better.
  • Respect is essential in all that we do here at LCPL. Whether it is for a co-worker, the public, or even ourselves, everyone is deserving of kindness.

These four values define who we are and how we work toward a better version of LCPL every single day. By being community-focused, operating with integrity and respect for all, and remaining adaptable in every situation, our entire team knows that we are on the path forward.
