Children are natural scientists!
Science in Play 2GO encourages their curiosity with open-ended opportunities to imagine, create, and share as they learn simply by exploring the world around them.

Science in Play 2GO is the mobile version of Kentucky Science Center’s permanent early-childhood experience housed in Louisville. With 3-month residencies at libraries throughout the state, Science in Play 2GO empowers kids and adults to learn together and for life.

What is here?

Build-Your-Own Rollercoaster

An exploration in physics and engineering these roller
coaster sections of different sizes and shapes can be
manipulated in countless designs and configurations. This
experience offers opportunities for predicting and testing
everything from simply how a ball falls and rolls, to far
more complex challenges.

Build Your World

Playing with large blocks sharpens planning and design
skills and encourages young children to imagine blocks as
representations of real world objects. Collaboration and
imagination are key as blocks become boats, buildings,
rocket ships, and even thrones.

Shapes & Stuff Store

A math-rich shopping experience in a store full of “stuff”
invites the imagination with materials that drive highly
open-ended learning. Shopping for shapes encourages
inventiveness and flexibility as children explore
everything from shape attributes and pattern recognition
to geometric and numerical skill building.
